This extraordinary saree takes inspiration from one of the sarees in the National Textile Museum, Delhi. Nothing is more auspiscious than an elephant in a 'chaudani' of parrots. While the elephant signifies strength, power and royalty, the parrot signifies fertility, love and truth. There is a local tradition, wherein the father gifts a saree with a pair of parrots woven on it to his married daughter when she is expecting. It comes with a blouse piece with the same border as saree. Time taken to weave - 2 months.
